StFX Art Gallery, Mulroney Hall, room 2002

Join us at the StFX Art Gallery for an artist talk with Angela Henderson, presented in conjunction with the exhibition mouth them like words, on view February 25 – April 4, 2026.

In this exhibition, Henderson’s post-observational drawing practice unfolds through memory, material engagement, and intuitive association. Her hybrid forms—merging human, vegetal, and animal elements—move between beauty and abjection. Installed across the gallery’s walls and within freestanding sculptural structures, the drawings form an immersive, navigable environment that invites reflection on how knowledge is gathered, recorded, and absorbed.

Angela Henderson is an artist and designer based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Working across drawing, sculpture, and installation, her practice explores intuition, memory, and the interconnected realms of dreams and ecology. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and teaches at NSCAD University.

The artist gratefully acknowledges the support of Arts Nova Scotia for this exhibition.

Refreshments will be provided.
