Workshop
Immaculata Hall, room 002
Join us for a Drawing Workshop with Angela Henderson, presented in conjunction with the exhibition mouth them like words, on view at the StFX Art Gallery from February 25 – April 4, 2026.
Saturday, March 14, 1 – 4 pm
Immaculata Hall, Room 002
Led by Angela Henderson—an artist and designer based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia)—this participatory workshop offers insight into her post-observational drawing practice, which unfolds through memory, material engagement, and intuitive association.
Participants will begin in Immaculata Hall, Room 002. Weather permitting, the group will head outdoors for a guided observational walk. Returning indoors, participants will create drawings shaped by what they noticed—working from memory, intuition, and image association. A range of drawing materials will be provided, and careful observation will serve as a starting point for images that evolve through personal interpretation.
This workshop is limited to 20 participants.
To sign up, please click here. Once you have completed the sign-up form, a gallery staff member will email you to confirm your participation.
The artist gratefully acknowledges the support of Arts Nova Scotia for this exhibition.
